When federal agencies took environmental justice tools offline in early 2025, the Public Environmental Data Partners rebuilt and re-hosted them, including EPA's EJScreen, the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool, and CDC's Environmental Justice Index, within weeks.

Why it mattersCommunities, researchers and grant writers rely on these maps to show where pollution and poverty overlap. Keeping them online keeps that evidence available.
